For year levels not participating in our iPad Student Resource Scheme (for cohorts enrolled from 2022), Capella State High School participates in the Bring Your Device (BYOD) scheme. BOYD is a new pathway supporting the delivery of 21st century learning. It is a term used to describe a digital device ownership model where students or staff use their personally-owned mobile devices to access the department’s information and communication (ICT) network.

BYOD is not mandatory, but strongly recommended. Students do have some access to shared school-owned devices for use in the classroom, including desktop computers, laptops and iPads.
