iPads

Technology plays a significant role in the way our young people learn and how education is delivered in the modern classroom. To facilitate 21st century learning, all students in years 7 to 9 at Capella State High have their own iPad in every lesson, every day.

To support our parents and school community, we offer an iPad Student Resource Scheme, which ensures every student has access to a device, ongoing IT support, and accidental damage coverage. Details of the scheme are included in our enrolment pack.

Alternatively, students may supply their own iPad through the Department of Education's BYOx v2 scheme. Personally provisioned iPads must meet the requirements outlined in the enrolment pack, should include a stylus and keyboard, and must be enrolled in our network through Microsoft Intune. For consistency, support and affordability, we recommend that all families join the iPad Student Resource Scheme to acquire a school-provisioned device.

Technology Resources

With thanks to a range of partnerships, including with BMA's Bowen Basin Bright Minds and Glencore, our students have access to a range of technology in our school, including:

  • Class set of iPads
  • Computer lab with desktop PCs
  • Drones and robots for studies in STEM
  • Large TouchBoards in most classrooms.

Years 10-12 are welcome to participate the Department of Education's BYOx v2 scheme
